Britney Spears was spotted leaving a recording studio in Burbank last night. As she sat down in the passenger seat of her white Mercedes, her assistant/cousin/enabler Alli handed her a margarita (note the salt around the rim of the glass) in front of about 50 paparazzi. You’d think after the judge last week ordered Britney to undergo weekly random drug and alcohol testing that she . . . oh I don’t know . . . MIGHT STOP DRINKING. At this rate, at her next custody hearing, the judge is gonna take Britney’s kids away and then set her on fire.

Britney Spears : Another Car Crash

Apparently Britney Spears needs to re-take her driving test — the troubled pop tart was seen driving a white Mercedes-Benz sports car with a smashed left headlight, prompting one to believe she hit another car, pedestrian, or tree. This comes just days after Britney was charged with a hit-and-run plus driving without a valid license. Pictures of the damage below!

Britney back to LA with Brunette hair

Britney Spears is back in Los Angeles after taking a weekend trip to Atlanta. The Gimme More singer, who flew into Van Nuys Airport on Monday with Alli and London by her side, decided to rid her blonde locks and flip back to brunette.

Meanwhile, Britney’s former bodyguard is soaking up his two minutes of fame by engaging in a press tour focused on the Toxic singer’s drug and parenting problems.

Britney Spears Bodyguard Tony BarrettoTells All

The former bodyguard for Britney Spears Tony Barretto aka, “the secret witness” has sold his story to the News of the World.

Because of Tony’s shocking account of what has been going on with Britney he persuaded a worried judge to order Britney to be tested for drugs twice a week.

Here are some of the things that he had to say:

Tony said Britney overdosed in a drug-strewn hotel room on a binge with junkie lover Howie Day just days after checking out of rehab. He said that “She was in a terrible state, just sweating and shaking. Her pupils were huge—we thought she was dying,” he also believes Britney was under the influence of drugs and booze at home while her two sons Sean, two, and year-old Jayden James, were there;

Tony said that “I gave evidence to the court because Britney is out of control and needs help. I have done this for her children. She’s not a good mother. She has mental problems. With her drug and booze issues, her home is no place for kids to be raised.”

Tony went on to say that “I noticed that when she was under the influence of drugs at home, she behaved the same way as she’d done on drugs at the club. I was worried about the children due to her erratic behaviour. She wouldn’t talk to them at all and she would be in her own world. I remember being in the hallway, and she was at the other end looking completely out of it. She would be nervously chewing her fingernails and babbling away. We’d have to look after the kids while she went through her strange behaviour. I know enough about drugs to know she was not being the normal Britney.”

Tony’s fears led to him making his 11th hour deposition at this week’s custody hearing.

After hearing the evidence the LA court judge was so appalled by it that, on top of the weekly drug tests, he ordered Britney to do eight-hour weekly sessions with a parenting coach.

Tony said that “I hope this will be wake-up call to her. I like Britney. All I want is for her to be a success and a good mum.”

Tony said that Britney’s children were often frightened by their mum talking to them in weird voices. He also told how she kept Jayden James and Sean Preston up late so they would sleep through the mornings and not wake her. If they woke early, a member of staff dealt with them.

Tony went on to say that “Britney does love her kids but she is a fickle mum. When the kids are happy, she’s happy. When they’re crying or unwell, she’s not sure what to do. She speaks to them in weird, creepy, baby voices, in made-up languages, which they just don’t get.

Britney Spears Faces Jail Over Brit-And-Run accident

Troubled pop star Britney Spears faces a possible jail term after being charged with a hit-and-run motoring offence.

She was also charged with driving without a valid licence in connection with the crash in an LA car park, prosecutors said.

If convicted, the singer could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 (£500) fine for each count, said Nick Velasquez, spokesman for the city attorney's office.

Messages left with the 25-year-old's lawyers were not immediately returned.

Spears was snapped by a photographer crashing her car into another vehicle as she tried to turn into a space in a car park in San Fernando Valley in August.

After assessing the damage to her own car, she is said to have walked away from the scene.

Three days after the accident, the owner of the other vehicle filed a police report, and officers discovered Spears did not have a licence, officials said.

"A check of ...records shows that no California licence has ever been issued to Ms Spears," Mr Velasquez said.

Spears has been told she does not have to attend the court hearing, due to take place on October 10.

The charges are the latest in a long line of problems for the singer.

She is locked in a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband and has been ordered to have random drug and alcohol tests twice a week to prove she is a fit parent.

In recent months, the star has exhibited odd behaviour after completing rehab in March.

Among the many notorious incidents, she shaved her head, attacked paparazzi, fired staff and stripped down to her underwear for an impromptu ocean swim in front of photographers.

Recently she was derided at MTV's Video Music Awards after dressing as a stripper and miming out of synch to her new song Gimme More.

Britneys Apologive for her VMA 2007 Performance

Britney Spears is in talks to appear at the Emmys to apologise for her MTV Video Music Awards disaster.

The 'Gimme More' singer is reportedly hoping to redeem herself after her flop performance last Sunday (09.09.07) at the US TV awards ceremony this Sunday (16.09.07).

An Emmys insider said: "Britney is in negotiations to appear at the ceremony, but nothing is confirmed. The idea is to have her come on and apologize for the VMAs. She's weighing up the offer."

A source close to the 25-year-old singer told Us Weekly magazine: "I can't say this is 100 per cent not true. All I can say is that the Emmy people aren't dealing with her record company, her manager or her agents at William Morris. So if she is doing anything for the Emmys then it's not going through the official channels."

Meanwhile, it has been claimed Britney was pushed into her heavily criticised VMAs appearance by her entertainment lawyer Gary Stiffelman.

Reports claim the 'Toxic' singer was reluctant to perform, saying she wasn't ready, but Stiffelman insisted it would be great publicity for her new album due to be released on November 13.

Britney reportedly drowned her sorrows after her onstage catastrophe.

The pop star allegedly partied and downed shots with P. Diddy at his private suite located in the Fantasy Tower of Las Vegas' Palms Hotel until 7am.

A source said: "She couldn't stand.

"Diddy's people had to get her back to her room as discreetly as possible so nobody would see what state she was in."

A representative for Diddy denies the claims, saying: "She stopped by the party for a while. He offered her a drink, which she refused, she drank water instead. She was not there until 7am."

Britney's ripped by Sarah Silverman

Paris Hilton got a break, Britney Spears did not. After a disastrous performance to open the show Britney was then lampooned by Sarah Silverman. Britney looked terrified on stage and completely out of it as she tried to perform. It was in a word - awful.

The comedienne immediately chimed in making fun of Britney's crotch to the point where if it wasn't so accurate it would have been funny. She called Brit's kids the cutest two mistakes.

She opened with this: "Was that incredible? Britney Spears, everyone," Silverman said. "Wow. She is amazing. She is 25-years-old and she's already accomplished everything she's going to accomplish in her life. It's mind blowing."

The whole thing was a rock bottom blow out - Britney is absolutely finished, at least for now. She is going to have to take a year off and perhaps make a real comeback later being out of the spotlight, losing some weight and regaining the sexiness and confidence that once made her a star.

Many people are expressing the opinion that Silverman was cruel. She kinds was, but it will be nothing compared to what Britney is getting ready to get heaved upon her online by celebrity observers.

Even on the People magazine poll, Britney's performance was called a fizzle other than a sizzle 87-13 percent.

Britney's new song "Cry"

After releasing her new single "Gimme More" last week, Britney Spears will not only be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards, but will be debuting a new song.

USA Today reports the pop superstar will be performing the as-yet-unreleased song "Cry," along with "Gimme More" in Las Vegas Sunday at the VMAs.

Although MTV and Spears' reps have not confirmed if is she will be performing at the event, Britney has been working on her "Sin City" act with illusionist Criss Angel.

The two were last seen together over Labor Day weekend at Luxor's LAX Nightclub in Las Vegas.

After weeks and weeks of rumors, there is finally official confirmation that Britney Spears will be performing Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Britney's will perform her new soon to be hit song, 'Gimme More' - with the help of illusionist Criss Angel.

I guess, looking back, we've had a great history with her," said Jesse Ignjatovic, the executive producer of this year's VMAs. "Some of the biggest TV performances [of her career] have been at the VMAs. And fortunately, [when we approached her about performing], she was into it and excited to do it. I wanted her to come on and make a statement right from the very beginning of the show. And she'll kill it. I wanted to start the show in a very big and dramatic way, and she's the one to do that. She'll captivate everyone, and set the tone for the rest of the night. There's no one better."

What should we expect from Spears?

"You can expect the things we want and expect from Britney - that will all be there," he said. "What I've seen of it is great. She'll be dancing, performing, doing her thing. That's exactly what we all want. Fans that are familiar with her performance on previous VMAs will not be disappointed."
The last time Britney performed at the VMAs she caused controversy. During a 2003 performance of the song "Like A Virgin" with Christina Aguilera, Britney locked lips with Madonna in one of the most memorable moments in music history.

Britneys opening LAX Club

There were all sorts of rumors of Britney Spears not going to Las Vegas for the opening of LAX. Obviously they were only rumors because a blonde Spears did attend to her hosting duties.

Spears got paid big bucks (reportedly $100,000) to attend the opening of the nightclub and was scheduled to walk the carpet at about 10:00 p.m. She finally made it at 12:15am but decided not to do any interviews and blew past everyone.

The owner of LAX literally jumped in front of her and made her stop and pose for the cameras....15 seconds later she made a beeline to the VIP area, where she was hanging with Criss Angel.

Britney arrived to the club in her trademark blonde wig and fedora hat matched with a white Philip Lim dress and some YSL shoes.
